Summer coming to an end
As of today our summer has come to an end. The music of the Jackson 5 is filling our home as my husband begins to write the show. As my friends say I am officially a marching band widow. Summer band camp is just around the corner and the joys of waking up when we want will slowly go away. School in Vinita starts later than normal so band camp gets to go longer this year. My hiatus of not posting is coming to an end. I probably won't post as much as I thought I would with my job and all, but I will do my best to give little stories of all we do this coming year. Out first big thing is the leadership cook out in August. That should be fun with our leadership team. They always making me laugh.

I understand completely. My band husband just started today with band camp, came home to work on show music, and then talked on the phone with a colleague for 30 minutes. I know it's their job, but even when they are in the house, it can be lonely. I want more time with him, but I know he has things to do. Am I in the wrong to be upset? How can I not be so selfish? What do you do?

You are not wrong to be upset and it is ok to be selfish every once in awhile. Some things I do is I go in and see if he needs anything or any help. Go in and give him a kiss. I am also one of the odd wives that goes to contest and football games and help out. I was a band kid so I know what it takes to make those shows great. I also have shows on DVR my husband can't stand so I get to watch those while he is working. I also love to read so I get a lot of reading in.
